 A WISE Harvest The Wise compass (logo) takes on special significance at vintage as young winemakers from various points of the compass fly in to experience their first Australian harvest at Wise Winery. Harvest is a once a year, make-or-break time where long hours of hard work and long tables of good food and fine wine are in demand. Whilst harvest is a time of frenetic activity in the winery with days filled to the brim with sweat and being run-off-your-feet, it is also a time of great discourse and rapport in the winery. It is a time where people come to learn, to exchange ideas and enjoy new cultures. Through this experience we see new ways of looking at a very old and traditional industry. The young winemakers end up enjoying new wines in a place that by harvest’s end they will have come to feel part of. We are very excited by the talent, passion and diversity that the young winemakers bring to the harvest this year and to the way in which this will ultimately express itself in the wines of vintage 2008.
